Description: What is that thing? It’s an airplane, yes, but not just any airplane. It’s a B25H bomber named the Barbie III. Resting on the tarmac at Falcon Field in Mesa, AZ it’s one of only about four WWII-era B25s still flying that allow walk-aboard passengers. I flew in Barbie III on May 30, 2009 as part of the research for my current novel project. Amazing!

Thank you, my fabulous writer friend, for choosing one of my photos as a blog-shot for the inaugural edition of WhatsThatThing. Best wishes with your blogging endeavor, may even more of the world discover your brilliance through it!
That’s one amazing photo. Is this the one you actually flew? Adventures await you!
Thanks! Yes, it’s the very plane we flew in.
